Any Facebook user will probably have a folder full of unread messages sent to it that you didn't even know you had
: the "Message Requests" folder (known before as, the "Other" folder.)In this folder, Facebook forwards all the messages from users that are not currently your friend. It could be occupied with old high school things reaching out or numerous spammers, who knows?! Only one way to find out!To check the messages, click the "messages" icon located at the top of your home screen (or the "Messages" link on the left side). By default, one will find himself or herself in the "Recent" tab of the inbox. That is Direct to the right, where the "Message Request" tab will be found. After you click on it, you will see a link that says "See filtered requests." Click on it and there you are to see all sorts of messages from unknown users on the Internet.
Facebook in 2012 ran a research with allowing members to pay to check the inboxes of non-friends. Fees began with $1 and went all the way up to $140 for Zuck to keep to himself, but the ability to do this appears to have a limit.
