Asiwaju Bola Tinubu wrote a letter to Senator Bukola Saraki after the dropping of charges of criminal conspiracy against him and his deputy senate president.
The saraki and like ekweremmadu have been charged with alleged forgery earlier this year but the federal government filed a petition to withdraw the charge after an affidavit was filed before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory by the office(litigation)r from the federal ministry of justice, Odubu Love, on Thursday, October 6.
Media reports that in a statement made available to newsmen through Tunde Rahman, Tinubu welcomed the withdrawal of the case but said all is not well yet as more have to be done. The senate leadership still has a lot to do to put the country harmony. Tinubu said the APC had the responsibility of fulfilling its promises to Nigeria citizens.
“To bring the progressive much-needed change the APC promised to the people of thisNigeria, will require full active and innovative governance. Good legislation will be needed to help pull the nation out of the economic quagmire. “most importantly, such visionary legislation will be even more required to permanently rebuild our national economic structure so that we may promote the type of diverse, long-lasting economic growth and employment that will ensure the most strongest future and better relieve the nation from the fragility inherent in basing the economic welfare of Nigeria on the global price of a sole commodity. This must be our uppermost priority.
